Lisa E. Lomelo, Esq., LEED AP, focuses her practice on land use, zoning, redevelopment, and litigation.
Lisa represents clients in all aspects of the development approval process. She regularly appears before zoning, land use and other government boards in connection with development applications. As an experienced litigator, Lisa handles land use, real estate, construction, and commercial litigation matters. Lisa represents clients in prerogative writ actions and appellate matters.
Lisa became a LEED Accredited Professional in 2008. She was the first female attorney in the State of New Jersey to receive this accreditation. In addition, Lisa was named one of New Jersey’s “New Leaders of the Bar” (formerly 40 Under 40) by the New Jersey Law Journal in 2018. She has also been listed in Super Lawyers® Rising Stars (2010-2018), a Thomson Reuters business, in the areas of Civil Litigation: Defense, General Litigation, and Construction Litigation: Business. She is a member of the District XII fee arbitration committee.
Ms. Lomelo is an active member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, New Jersey Women Lawyers Association, the New York State Bar Association, and has been involved with various women’s initiative programs and mentoring programs. She has presented various seminars on New Jersey Civil Litigation Practice.
She received her Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University in Biochemical Engineering and her Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University. She served as a law clerk to The Honorable Camille M. Kenny, Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division. Ms. Lomelo is admitted to the bars of the State of New Jersey, the State of New York, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
