NEWARK, NJ, January 6, 2020 – Newark-based law firm Murphy Partners LLP is pleased to announce that Matthew J. Schiller and Charles J. Wilkes, both partners at the venerable law firm Greenbaum Rowe Smith & Davis LLP, have joined the firm as name partners to form Murphy Schiller & Wilkes LLP (MSW).

In addition, MSW is pleased to announce that Susan C. Karp has joined the firm as Of Counsel to spearhead the firm’s environmental practice group.

With offices in Newark, New York City, and Trenton, MSW represents businesses, property owners, investors and lenders in complex real estate and commercial transactions, banking and financing matters, environmental concerns, and real estate-focused litigation. The firm’s attorneys also represent clients in connection with the procurement of planning, zoning, and other development approvals, and help clients identify, negotiate, and secure real estate and economic development incentives.

Matthew J. Schiller will lead multiple practice groups at MSW, including the Commercial Leasing, Opportunity Zone, and Distressed Real Estate practice groups. Prior to joining the firm, Matt was Vice Chair of the Real Estate Department at Greenbaum Rowe Smith & Davis LLP.

Charles J. Wilkes will lead the firm’s Banking and Commercial Finance, Corporate, and Real Estate Finance practice groups. Prior to joining the firm, Charlie was also a partner at Greenbaum Rowe Smith & Davis LLP.
