Newark, NJ – June 10, 2024 – Murphy Schiller & Wilkes LLP (MSW) is pleased to announce the addition of new attorneys to its growing practice.
Thomas S. Garlick has joined the firm as Counsel and will focus his practice in the area of real estate development. He will represent clients throughout New Jersey with land use, zoning, and redevelopment projects. He will also advise clients in connection with obtaining property tax exemptions, including Payment in Lieu of Tax (PILOT) agreements, and tax credits under the NJEDA’s Aspire Tax Credit Program. Prior to joining MSW, Tom worked at one of New Jersey’s top full-service law firms. He received his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College.
Robert M. Lyons has joined the firm as an Associate in the firm’s Construction Law and Litigation practice groups. In this role, Robert will represent developers, owners, contractors, subcontractors, construction managers, architects, engineers, and surveyors across a wide array of matters in the commercial real estate and construction industries. These matters include contract disputes, delay claims, defective construction claims, design negligence, and shareholder disputes in both state and federal courts. Prior to joining MSW, Robert worked at a national litigation firm in New York City. He received his law degree from Fordham University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Providence College.
