The January 15, 2020 deadline is quickly approaching for taxpayers in Monmouth County to file property tax appeals with the Monmouth County Board of Taxation.
This deadline is strictly enforced. Failure to meet this important filing deadline may completely bar a taxpayer’s right to file a property tax appeal in 2020 for properties assessed at $1,000,000 or less. For properties assessed over $1,000,000, Monmouth County taxpayers still have the option to file an appeal with the New Jersey Tax Court by April 1, 2020.
